Jackson Public Schools

JPS serves nearly 30,000 students overall K-12. The district has 38 elementary schools, 13 middle schools, 7 high schools, and 2 special schools. This is a total of 60 schools. It is the 2nd largest public school district in Mississippi. JPS is located in Jackson, Mississippi which has a population of approximately 175,000 residents. The district offers a variety of programs such as APAC, International Bacclaurreate, and Montessori. There are nearly 5,000 employees in the district. 2013 Graduates received more than $12 million in scholarship offers. The class of 2013 consisted of 1,458 graduates.

Madison County Public Schools

The Madison County School District serves the cities of Ridgeland, Madison, and Flora; a small portion of Jackson that lies in Madison County; the community of Camden; and most rural areas in Madison County. There are approximately 11,000 students enrolled in the Madison County School District. The district has 10 elementary schools, 6 middle schools, and 4 high schools. The Madison District also offers an alternative school, named the Academic Options Center, for students of compulsory school age.  The Madison County School District offers a full continuum of services for students with disabilities. Eligible students from ages three to twenty-one are served in our school district. Qualified teachers, therapists, and trained support personnel strive to offer the most appropriate programs for each student.

Rankin County Public Schools

The Rankin County School District is the 3rd largest public school district in Mississippi. The district office is located in Brandon. In addition to Brandon, the district serves most of Rankin County, including the communities of Florence, Flowood, Pelahatchie, Puckett, Richland, and Sandhill. Rankin County School District is home to nearly 19,500 students and 3,000 employees. The District has 27 schools in eight attendance zones, including 15 elementary schools, 3 middle schools, 8 high schools, and 1 special school. Each year the quality of classroom instruction increases in rigor and quality, and the district has more National Board Certified teachers than any other district in Mississippi and among the highest in the nation. The 2013 graduating seniors received a record-breaking $23.5 million in scholarship offers. The Rankin County School District has the lowest tax rate of any school district in the metro Jackson area.
